The Morača Mountains are located in central Montenegro, south of the Tušina River and the source of the Morača River, and south of the Mioska–Boan–Šavnik road. They form a magnificent continuation of the Lola Mountain ridge and are named after the Morača River that flows through the region.
The highest peaks of the Morača Mountains are Lastva (2,226 m), Zagradać (2,217 m), Stižac (2,141 m), and Vojnovac (2,072 m). These peaks dominate the landscape and offer impressive views of the surrounding canyons, plateaus, and neighboring mountain massifs.
The mountains are characterized by steep slopes, rocky ridges, and high-altitude plateaus. Their varied terrain makes them ideal for hiking, mountaineering, and nature exploration, while the untouched landscapes, deep canyons, and panoramic views provide an unforgettable experience for nature lovers. The combination of natural beauty, geological diversity, and rich flora and fauna makes the Morača Mountains one of Montenegro’s most impressive and striking mountain ranges.
